A group of multi-disciplinary cancer researchers and PhD students within a broader group in the Collaboration for Academic Primary Care (APEx) whose research addresses many aspects of cancer diagnosis. Exeter CanTest Projects
These focus on alternative ways of testing for possible cancer in the patient with symptoms. Ideally, such tests could be offered by the general practitioner, where it is sensible and economic to do so. We also address patient and practitioner preferences for testing, so that any final decision about test choice truly accommodates the views of the patient as well as others.
