Emily Habgood
Faculty
Emily is a CanTest PhD candidate in the Centre for Cancer Research at the University of Melbourne, supervised by Prof Jon Emery and Chris McCormack. She is investigating melanoma risk assessment and tailored prevention in general practice.
She previously worked as a research assistant, co-ordinating various multi-site randomised controlled trials from early diagnosis to treatment, most recently on the CHEST-Australia Trial, which tested a behavioural intervention to promote earlier help-seeking in people at higher risk of lung cancer. Her interests are focused on early detection and prevention of cancers and the translation of research into practice.
